Lancaster Public Library

Libraries

In designing libraries, our concepts start with the consideration of access to books, technology, areas for research and exploration, and the wealth of information kept for public use. This guides our thinking about the spaces, pathways, lighting, shelving, workstations, and staff functions.

Libraries are personal, a place to go to for private indulgence, enjoyment, and learning. Patrons and staff both want easy access, soothing environments, logical organization, and ample places to sit, peruse, and utilize both the print and online materials that are available. A library is a destination for all ages, from the very young to the elderly. Our library design projects take all of this into consideration as we create the right solutions for each of our clients’ needs.
